Lee Miller
President, Miller Transporters, Inc.


About the Speaker:
Lee Miller is President of Miller Transporters, Inc., a family-owned and operated tank truck company that specializes in the safe and dependable handling of high end chemical products.   Headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi, the Miller family also operates logistics and leasing companies.    Since inception, almost seventy years ago, Miller Transporters has lived by the motto “Every load’s safe delivery in a courteous manner takes priority over all else.”

In his thirty-two years with the company, Mr. Miller has held a variety of roles, including Dispatcher, Terminal Manager, Division Operations Manager and Vice President of Quality before being named President in 2008.     Areas of responsibility have included not only Quality and Responsible Care, but also Information Services, Recruitment and Retention, and other means of Corporate Support.

Mr. Miller has served on several committees within the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care and is currently a member of the Partner Steering Committee.    Also an active member of the National Tank Truck Carriers Association, he serves as a Regional Director and a member of the Strategic Planning Team.

A graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation and Mississippi College with a Masters in Business Administration, Mr. Miller was recently certified by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) as Professionally Qualified to instruct on the collegiate level.     He and his wife, Mary, have three children and numerous pets.
